PSO IS ENSURING AVAILABILITY OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY
In response to media reports about shortage of fuel in parts of the country, Pakistan State Oil, the country's largest oil marketing company, has said:

“We are aware of media reports about shortage of fuel in parts of the country. PSO would like to confirm that the company has sufficient quantities of fuel and our depots are working round the clock to ensure an uninterrupted supply of products throughout the country."

“The company is continuing to manage its imports and refinery purchases smoothly. PSO has already imported 170,000 metric-tons of MOGAS. In addition to this 115,000 metric-tons of MOGAS will be arriving within this month. This also includes a ship containing 57000 metric-tons of MOGAS is arriving on 21 September 2017. We would therefore like to assure our customers that there will be no shortage of fuel at PSO outlets.”

“Despite all the challenges on liquidity front, PSO is continuing to supply more than its market share to ensure an uninterrupted availability of petroleum products across all parts of the country.”

“Currently our collective receivable from power sector, government for price differential claims, PIA and SNGPL stands at around Rs 295 billion. We are constantly engaging with the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Finance, PIA and SNGPL for release of funds.”
