PSO, KAPCO sign MoU

Mr. Jalees Ahmed Siddiqi, Managing Director & CEO, Pakistan State Oil (PSO), and Syed Rizwan Ali Shah, Chief Executive Officer, Kot Addu Power Company (KAPCO), exchanging the documents after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 2, 2007 at PSO House for fuel supply for planned 400-500 MW expansion project of KAPCO Complex.


KARACHI: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) on Monday, July 02, 2007, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for fuel supply with Kot Addu Power Company for its planned 400-500 MW expansion project of its KAPCO Complex

The document was initialed at a ceremony at PSO House. Syed Rizwan Ali Shah, Chief Executive Officer, KAPCO, and Mr. Jalees Ahmed Siddiqi,Managing Director & CEO, PSO, represented their respective organizations.

KAPCO, a major power generating company in the private sector of Pakistan, is playing a significant role in the national economy, has a long-term contractual fuel supply agreement with PSO.

Both the entities are enjoying very cordial business relationships and the current MoU is a testament to further collaboration between the two companies. The event is a milestone for PSO, which has embarked on an aggressive plan to engage business of future power sector fuel business.

Mr. Khalid Pervaiz Bajwa, General Manager (Engineering), KAPCO, Mr. Yacoob Suttar, Executive Director – Finance & IT, and Mr. M. Parvaiz Yasin, General Manager (Industrial Consumer), PSO, and other officials were present.
