of SIAL, the first-ever private sector airport in Pakistan |
As leaders in the aviation
industry of Pakistan, PSO has partnered with Sialkot International
Airport Limited (SIAL) for the development of exclusive
Aviation, Consumer & Retail facilities at Sialkot
Airport - the first-ever international airport constructed
and operated by private sector in the country.
The refueling facility was built and commissioned in January
2007. It comprises of two main jet fuel storage tanks
each with the maximum storage capacity of 180 kls. The
facility is fully capable of providing refueling services
to large body aircraft as per International Aviation Quality
Control & Safety standards.
President of Pakistan Mr. Pervaiz Musharaf was the chief
guest at the auspicious occasion of the formal inauguration
of the Sialkot International Airport on Monday December
11, 2007. He greatly commended the business community
of Sialkot for establishing a world standard airport and
assured Government's full support in its promotion.
The exclusive presence of PSO at Sialkot international
Airport was highly appreciated and it is envisaged that
such refueling facility will play its pivotal role in
the promotion of the newly built airport, which has a
great future in the development of Pakistan's economy
