For the fourth consecutive year, PSO collaborated with the Pakistan Society of Sugar Technologists (PSST) in sponsoring their 40th Annual Sugar Seminar on September 5-7, 2005 at Karachi.

     The seminar provides an opportunity to highlight the PSO products and services to valuable customers at an exclusive stall exhibiting related technical literature on different sugar mill oils as well as our current automotive range in plastic cans with attractive labels.

     By addressing techno-commercial queries, the platform also enables PSO to get valuable feedback on product performance and services, which proves helpful in improving upon and employing the best industry practices.

     The seminar provides a platform for meaningful interaction with the participants from sugar mills – mostly owners and technical managers – and helps strengthen relationship and customer confidence in PSO’s initiatives towards quality products and services. All this adds up to enhance our corporate image in the industry.

     Kalim A. Siddiqui, Executive Director, Customer Services, attended the inaugural session chaired by the Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan.

     The chief guest visited the PSO stall and was welcomed by Abu Khursheed M. Ariff, Deputy General Manager, Lube Sales & Marketing, and Irfan P. Butt, Business Development Manager. Divisional Managers, Industrial Consumer, were also present to interact with their respective sugar mill customers.

     The DGM Lubricants, speaking on the occasion, presented a token of appreciation to the PSST and invited the BDM to make a presentation on the "Features and Benefits of using PSO Quality Lubricants for Sugar Mill Equipments."

     The presentation highlighted PSO’s CVP (Customer Value Proposition) for sugar sector as having the best value in terms of international quality products at competitive prices and effective and immediate after-sales support services, which will help customers enhance the equipment life and maintain a trouble-free operation. The presentation was very well received and appreciated.

     Lubricants (Sales & Marketing) team and the BM&C Department also made efforts in co-sponsoring the seminar.
