PSO team displayed dedicated team work, and sportsman spirit against the best teams in the PARCO Tournament.

Captain PSO Team Col. (Rtd) Fazle Abbas performed very well during the entire tournament. Azam Farooqui also displayed great sportsmanship and was declared the ‘Best Bowler’ of the tournament.

In our first encounter with Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), Fabion Joseph who was one of the shining star of 2nd match with PARCO, scored a match winning half century along with 27 runs of just 10 balls by the Vice Captain Khawaja Amer Hameed. Further, Azam Farooqui along with Masab Hamza bowled a spell of 5 overs and took 3 wickets each thus uprooting the strong batting line of PPL and winning the game.

The third match was held against Shell at SKBZ College DHA Cricket Ground at Khayaban-e-Rahat. Azam Farooqui struck five wickets in five overs making it a magnificent victory in a close match thus confirming PSO’s place in the semifinals against Chevron.

PSO defeated Chevron in the Semi Final by 8 wickets. Col. (Rtd) Fazle Abbas took 3 wickets and then scored 46 solid runs as an opener.

The final of the PARCO Cricket Tournament was played between the two best teams of Oil Industry i.e. PSO and Byco at UBL complex A ground.

Sajjad Ghouri and Masab scored 23 and 21 runs. After that, the wickets kept falling at regular intervals. However Col. (Rtd) Fazle Abbas hit three 6s and four 4s in his knock of 37 in just 15 balls. The team score to 193 in 25 overs.

Byco won by just one wicket on the last ball of the match. MD PARCO, who was the chief guest, appreciated PSO and remarked that both the teams were winners.
