The new Multan Aviation Facility was developed in tandem with the Construction of New Multan Airport. PSO was given a timeline of 210 days to commission the new facility by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). In the given time span the complete process of designing, estimation, tendering and execution of works were carried out which included construction of three 180 KL tanks, pipeline network, test rig, sheds, civil works and complete electrical works. The hallmark of the project was shifting of one 180 KL - 30 ft tank from existing location to new facility.

During the course of the project, Aviation Department made every effort possible to avoid any interruption in supplies. Temporary arrangements through 40 KL tank lorries were made to meet the fuel requirements of national carrier and other customers.
