Procurement and Services (P&S) Department organized an awareness session for PSO employees.
The objective was to impart awareness on the business process reengineering and highlight areas of concern where user departments were required to take requisite measures for ensuring an effective procuremexnt cycle.
The session was hosted by Manager P&S Nadia Saleem and conducted in detail by General Manager P&S Shaista Sumar.
The core areas discussed during the session were:
- Re-engineering of procurement processes,
- Revised organizational hierarchy with key contact points,
- Compliance to Purchase Requisition Checklist,
- Procurement Helpdesk mechanism,
- Sharing of complete updates on procurement activities through an IT application.
- Problems faced by the P&S department during execution of procurement activities
About 80 Karachi-based employees from various departments participated in this interactive session. GM P&S replied to queries put forth by focal persons of various departments.
The session was concluded on the note that P &S department is committed to delivering excellence to their stakeholders and would continue to facilitate and add value in every area of its operation. |
