Manager Corporate Planning and Liaison Delegate to Business Council for Sustainable Development, Ayesha Afzal spoke at a conference on Quality, Health, Safety and Environment held at Karachi.

In the panel discussion on ‘Alternative Energy Initiatives in Pakistan’, Ayesha Afzal indicated the need for Pakistan to diversify its energy production to reduce reliance on expensive and environment unfriendly conventional fuels. She elaborated on the alternative energy projects across the globe that have resulted in economic growth vis-a-vis meeting possible challenges with respect to energy and environment.

She shared the initiatives of PSO in Alternative Energy in the form of various projects.

Participants at the conference included Secretary Ministry of Environment and Alternative Energy, Govt of Sindh Mir Hussain Ali and Chairman National Bank of Pakistan Syed Ali Raza among others.

Speakers at the Inaugural Panel at the conference consisted of renowned professionals that included Chairman PPMA Haroon Qassim and COO, EMB Ltd. Naveed Khawaja.
