HSE Department organized an awareness session for PSO employees on Flu and its Vaccines in collaboration with Novartis. In order to raise awareness about Flu, its consequences and the importance of its prevention, Head of Department of Pediatric Department at KPT Hospital Dr Quratulain conducted an awareness session in PSO House Auditorium followed by a question and answer session.

Flu is a viral illness, the result of which is a severe illness for more than 5 days causing fever, runny nose (rhinitis), cough and sore throat.

People usually consider influenza to be a simple common cold which is NOT the case.

In recent years we have seen lot of outbreaks of flu, for example the Swine Flu which was a major threat due to its endemicity and devastating effects.
