We at Pakistan State Oil fully understand and acknowledge that our stakeholders today expect more from us, its top corporate citizens, and thus we have a national and moral obligation to deliver.
We firmly believe that our corporate reputation is inextricably tied to good corporate behaviour and this is precisely why we have integrated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into our day-to-day dealings with all our stakeholders as a crucial factor in our business success.
Today, PSO directly impacts the lives of 2.5 million people who visit our outlets every day as well as the community in general because of its core occupation to be the custodian of the responsibility to keep the wheels of the economy moving through procurement, storage and supply of its life blood – the petroleum products. The 2,700-strong PSO staff members (regular, contractual and outsourced) are dedicated to maintaining that trust through concerted actions and dedicated performance.
However, its vast outreach is not the only measure of PSO’s commitment to the nation. Our employees are guided by our values to maintain the highest integrity, treat everyone with dignity and respect, focus on our customers and be excellent in all we do. This translates into a company that meets the needs of its customers, its employees and the communities where it operates.
The progress we have made during the last four years to support a sustainable environment, to give back to the people among whom we live and work, to operate safely, and to promote an innovative and inclusive work environment is outlined in this document, our First CSR Review, which provides a look inside our work, our culture and our relationships with the community.
