Mr. Muhammad Azam holds Master Degree in Petroleum Geologist from Punjab University, Lahore and also obtained Master Degree in Civil Engineering from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia in 2001. He served in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Government of Pakistan in various positions for more than 30 years including upstream, downstream Petroleum sector and New and Renewable Energy Resources. He actively involved in downstream and operations, etc. He has also attended a number of short term courses and training Workshops on Petroleum Management/ Skill development and leadership, etc. He has assumed that charge of Director General (Oil) on 6th July 2011 and has been appointed Member on the Board of management of PS, PAPCE, PRL and Total-PARCO.
